Pastor Erik Hart began serving as Assistant Pastor of Saint Luke Church and School in June 2022.

Pastor Hart was born in Fargo, North Dakota but calls southeast Nebraska home. He graduated from Fairbury High School in 2014 and attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska from 2014-2018. He graduated from Concordia with a B.A in History and then began attending Concordia Seminary in St. Louis that Fall. He served his vicarage at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo, Wisconsin, where he was basically a “pastor-in-training.” On vicarage, he learned about preaching, teaching confirmation, leading youth group, and making cheese curds. He received his Master of Divinity in May of 2022 and then was called right out of the seminary to serve as Assistant Pastor at Saint Luke.

Pastor Hart married the love of his life, Sarah, after they both graduated from Concordia Nebraska in 2018. God blessed them with an adorable son, Ezekiel, in December 2020 while they were on vicarage in Wisconsin. Sarah serves as a Lutheran school teacher, and began teaching middle school at Saint Luke in 2022. Zeke enjoys being a toddler, running around, and picking up sticks.

Pastor Hart loves playing disc golf and ultimate frisbee, working out, and traveling. He enjoys trying to learn to play the guitar. He’s always open to trying new things. He also loves working with youth and young families. He loves seeing children grow in their love of Jesus.
