True North VBS will Take kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where the northern lights shine over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and sparkling glaciers. As they trek the tundra, they’ll discover how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Guiding them towards Jesus, True North VBS reveals that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He's our True North!

Our VBS is designed for kids entering Pre-Kindergarten through students who just completed 5th grade by Fall 2025.

Registration for our program is $15 per child or $30 for two or more children. It includes your VBS t-shirt, snacks, and crafts.

We'd love for your child to wear the VBS t-shirt every day. Also, make sure your child wears something comfortable for outdoor play and potentially messy activities.

Come to Saint Luke’s church entrance at 410 S. Rush St. in Itasca. Our team will help you to your child's room and introduce you to our awesome crew leadersscription

Daily Bible Content at True North VBS
During True North by Group VBS 2025, children journey through the Book of Matthew to discover how Jesus is their guiding light, offering unwavering faithfulness throughout life's challenges. Each day focuses on a different Bible story, reinforcing the message that Jesus is always present and dependable in every situation.
Day 1- June 16
Bible Point: When we wonder, we can trust Jesus.
Bible Buddy: Ponder the Sea Otter
Key Bible Verse: Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise. (Matthew 7:24)
Bible Story: John prepares the way and baptizes Jesus. (Matthew 3; 11:1-6)
Day 2 - June 17
Bible Point: When we feel alone, we can trust Jesus.
Bible Buddy: Clawdia the King Crab
Key Bible Verse: Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Bible Story: Jesus teaches about God's love for us. (Matthew 6:25-33; 18:12-14)
Day 3 - June 18
Bible Point: When we feel powerless, we can trust Jesus.
Bible Buddy: Kody the Bear

Bible Story: A Roman officer trusts Jesus. (Matthew 8:5-13)
Day 4 - June 19

Volunteer at VBS
Adult and Youth volunteers needed to help with the “TRUE NORTH” VBS. Come and help connect the children of our church and community to Christ. Sign up for all 5 days or just one day.
VBS volunteers must be going into 6th grade* (Fall 2025) or older.

By donating, letting us borrow or even purchasing needed supplies from our list, you will help make VBS ‘tent-astic’! We are aware that there is already a cost for a child to attend VBS, yet there are still many other expenses that are above and beyond this initial program fee, any extra help with donations is always appreciated. Please check back periodically as our Wishlist will be continually updated with our VBS supply needs.

Each year we are overwhelmed with the number of volunteers who help, as well as the number of participants whom we get to share Jesus with.
