Baskets of Promise: Personal Care Kits

Donate items for Lutheran World Relief Kits to help people in need.

As part of the Mission of the Month, this Lenten season, Saint Luke is taking part in the LWR’s Baskets of Promise campaign. Each week in Lent, we are collecting items to form LWR Personal Care Kits. These kits help impoverished people stay healthy in life’s most challenging situations. You can drop off your donated items starting on Ash Wednesday and each Sunday through Lent. A donation basket will be in the Narthex. You can also shop all at once and drop items off together! Thank you.

Collection Schedule:

• February - 28, 2026

  One light-weight bath-size towel (between 20" x 40" 52" x 27"), dark color recommended.

• March 1 - 7, 2026

  Three bath size bars of soap equaling 8-9 oz.

• March 8 - 14, 2026

  Toothbrushes (individually wrapped, one per kit) & Nail Clippers, one per kit (metal, attached file optional)

• March 15 - 21, 2026

  Sturdy combs

• March 22 - 28, 2026

  Assemble all care kits & Deliver
