Literature/Holes- For Thursday, March 19th, please read chapters 9 & 10. You will need to answer the study guide questions for chapters 9 & 10. If you do not have the study guide pages, let me know and I will send them to you.

Writing/Grammar/AmericanHistory -  Write a one page paper summarizing Chapter 7 The Southern Colonies, Lesson 1-3, as follows:

1st paragraph: Write an introductory paragraph to The Southern Colonies. (1-3 sentences)

2nd paragraph: Summarize Lesson 1, Settling in the South. (3-5 sentences)

3rd paragraph: Summarize Lesson 2, Life in the South. (3-5 sentences)

4th paragraph: Summarize Lesson 3, The Southern Economy. (3-5 sentences)

Final paragraph: Summarize the entire chapter. (1-3 sentences)

Please proofread your work. (Read it out loud so your ears help your eyes proofread) Spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation errors will be marked wrong. This assignment is in lieu of a Chapter 7 test.

Every night each student should spend at least 30 minutes reading a book of their choice.

New spelling or vocabulary words are given out every Monday or Tuesday. 

Social Studies homework is typically assigned three days a week and should take no longer than 30 minutes.
