CORONAVIRUS

March 13, 2020

Dear Christian Care Families and Staff Members:

Based on the rapidly evolving situation of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and recommendations from public health officials to limit public gatherings, and the governor’s recent announcement to close all public and private schools, St. Luke is closing Christian Care effective the end of today, March 13 through the 18th. During this time we will be working on a protocol, and further clean classrooms. We know many people still have to work so we are working to come up with a plan to watch children, but also assure their safety.

Please expect further communication early next week.

Additionally, we are reminding all students and staff members, who may be travelling to any area listed on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Travel Advisories with a Level 2 or above Travel Notice, to stay home and self-quarantine for 14 days following their return. This is more stringent than the initial message communicated that just pertained to Level 3 countries.

Thank you in advance for your support as we implement what is best for our students and staff during this unprecedented time. We understand this may cause challenges for some families; however, we believe this is in the best interest for our Christian Care community at this time. Please keep in mind that the safety and wellness of our students remain at the forefront of our decision-making process. Please expect that we will continue sending out regular updates to keep you informed of decisions being made.
